The news follows some suggestions that Uncharted 4 developer Naughty Dog is expected to finally unveil single-player DLC during the PlayStation Experience event in December.

Naughty Dog is expected to walk through its plans for new Uncharted 4 DLC during Sony's PSX event, which takes place in Anaheim on December 3.

The company has traditionally unveiled story expansions for its games later in the year, so the PSX event seems like a safe bet.

It's not surprising that fans have had to wait so long for a story DLC update, because Uncharted 4 developer Naughty Dog didn't actually begin production on single-player DLC until the game shipped in May.

It was previously revealed that the Uncharted 4 solo DLC would be inspired in some way by Last of Us expansion Left Behind.

Left Behind took place before the events of The Last of Us, so maybe Uncharted 4 solo DLC will fill in some of the gaps between Uncharted games.

The company had previously said that Uncharted 4 would spell the end of Nathan Drake, although it's unclear if that includes DLC.
