Autocad 2000lt To Purchase

Issue:

How to use the array dialog window within AutoCAD as opposed to the current array command that works through a contextual ribbon interface.

Causes:

The ARRAY command changed to use a ribbon interface in AutoCAD 2013 and now also creates copies of selected objects arranged in a pattern chosen at the command prompt.

Solution:

Legacy dialog window
To create an array using the dialog window, use the ARRAYCLASSIC command. It is possible to edit the command alias .pgp file for shortcuts to make AR start ARRAYCLASSIC instead of the current ARRAY command.
Note: The legacy array dialog box does not support array associativity or path arrays.
Command line usage
As an example for using the ARRAY command line to create a rectangular array with one column and 50 rows:
  1. At the command prompt in AutoCAD, type ARRAY.
  2. Select the object and specify Rectangular. The program creates a screen preview with grips that can be used to edit the array.
  3. Enter COL (Columns), and then the number of columns (1), select the spacing, and press Enter.
  4. Adjust the number of rows by selecting R (Rows), select the spacing, and press Enter to accept.
AutoCAD will create one column and 50 rows of an object.
